How Does Team Beleza Vet its Clinic Partners?
We select partners based on one core goal: minimizing risk while maximizing quality. All procedures carry some risk, so we only recommend hospitals, surgeons, and clinics that meet rigorous national and international standards.
ISAPS Membership Matters
ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) is the world's leading body for board-certified aesthetic surgeons, with over 5,000 members in 117 countries. Brazil leads globally in surgical cosmetic procedures (over 2.35 million in 2024 per ISAPS data), and many top São Paulo surgeons are ISAPS members. We only present surgeon candidates who hold active ISAPS membership—ensuring they meet global best practices in safety, ethics, and technique.
SBCP Certification: Brazil's Gold Standard
To join ISAPS, Brazilian surgeons must first be certified by SBCP (Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica), the official national board. This requires medical school + 3 years general surgery + 3 years specialized plastic surgery residency + rigorous exams. ANVISA-Certified Facilities

Will I Be Safe in Brazil?
US State Dept. Level 2
Like most of Europe the US State Department rates Brazil Level 2, “Exercise Increased Caution” (the same as France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, and others)—not “avoid travel,” just take standard precautions like securing valuables and staying aware in urban areas.

Like us (Jeff & Laura), our business name is half American / English and half Brazilian / Portuguese.
